Intellectual Property Rights
Last updated: April 27, 2026
This policy explains how imgtovideolab (“we”, “us”, “our”) deals with intellectual property complaints about our website, subdomains, APIs, and image-to-video generation tools (together, the “Services”).
Translations of this policy may be provided for convenience. Only the English text is binding, and if a translation appears to say something different, the English version prevails.
imgtovideolab respects the intellectual property of others and expects users of the Services to do the same. Following the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA) and other applicable law, we act promptly on valid complaints about copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
1. Your Responsibility for Uploaded Content
The Services let you upload still images (“Source Images”) and turn them into videos (“Generated Videos”) with third-party AI models.
By uploading a Source Image you confirm that:
you own the rights to it, or hold every licence, consent, and permission needed from the rights holder;
it does not infringe any copyright, trademark, trade dress, right of publicity, privacy right, or other proprietary right of a third party;
if it contains an identifiable person, you have that person’s clear consent to upload it, process it, and generate AI-derived video from their likeness;
it does not show any minor in any context, and contains nothing prohibited by our Terms of Use;
You alone are responsible for the Source Images you upload and for the Generated Videos you create, download, share, or distribute.
2. Generated Videos and Ownership
Provided you comply with these rules and with the terms of the underlying model providers, you keep the right to use Generated Videos made from Source Images you lawfully uploaded.
Two things to keep in mind:
we cannot promise that a Generated Video is free of third-party intellectual property claims, particularly where the Source Image or your prompt refers to protected characters, brands, or copyrighted works;
output from the underlying models is also governed by the terms of the model providers, and some commercial uses may be restricted;
we may remove a Generated Video that is reported as infringing, whoever submitted it.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content on the Services infringes copyright that you own or represent, send our designated agent a written notice containing all of the following:
Identification of the protected work — a URL, registration number, or other evidence of your ownership where available;
Identification of the material you say infringes it — the exact URL and, if you know it, the Generation ID or Task ID, plus anything else that helps us locate it;
Your contact details — full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and a working email address;
A good-faith statement that you believe the use you describe is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
A statement of accuracy, made under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you own the copyright or are authorised to act for the owner;
Your physical or electronic signature;
An acknowledgement that your contact details may be shared with the person you are reporting and kept for legal purposes.
We may be unable to act on a notice that does not include all of this information.
4. Reporting Trademark or Other IP Infringement
For a trademark complaint, please provide:
the mark in question, with its registration number and jurisdiction where applicable;
the URL, Generation ID, or Task ID where the material appears;
an explanation of how the material infringes your rights, including a likelihood-of-confusion analysis where that is relevant;
the contact, good-faith, accuracy, and signature information listed in Section 3.
For other intellectual property complaints, including rights of publicity, design rights, and trade secrets, please supply equivalent identifying and supporting information.
5. Designated Agent and Submission
All infringement notices should be sent to our designated agent:
When you send a claim, we may pass your name and email address to the person you reported and keep that information for legal purposes. A knowingly false or materially misleading claim may create liability under applicable law and may lead to your own account being closed. Legal advice before filing is never a bad idea.
6. How We Handle Claims
Every claim that arrives through the channels above is reviewed, and any of these actions may follow:
removing or disabling access to the reported content worldwide or in particular regions;
notifying the person who uploaded the Source Image or generated the video;
suspending or closing the account of a repeat or serious infringer;
asking either side for more information where a claim is unclear or disputed.
Both the complainant and the affected user may be contacted to explain what was done, to ask for further detail, or to set out why we decided not to act on a claim.
7. Counter-Notification
If your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification through the same channel we used to contact you. It must contain:
your physical or electronic signature;
identification of the content that was removed or disabled, and where it appeared (URL, Generation ID, or Task ID);
a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal or disabling was a mistake or a misidentification;
your full name, postal address, and telephone number;
a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where your address is, or, if you are outside the United States, the courts of Hong Kong, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
8. Repeat Infringers
Where it is appropriate, accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights are closed. We may also, at our sole discretion, close an account or remove content after a single clear or serious infringement.
9. Third-Party AI Model Providers
The Services bring together several third-party AI video models. Each provider has its own intellectual property and acceptable use rules, and content you generate may be subject to those rules as well as ours. Where a complaint relates to how a particular model behaves, we may pass the relevant information to that provider in line with our agreements with them.
10. Proactive Detection
Alongside reports from users and rights holders, manual review and automated detection — image similarity matching, prompt filtering, and fingerprinting of known infringing content — are used to find and remove material that may infringe intellectual property rights. These systems are improved continuously.
11. Updates to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Services, to the law, or to industry practice. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised, and continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept it.
